In what we have found they are failing ? :
- This one is extremely common.Companies are investing and managing to get a good, and very often a very GOOD product. So, this one is, usually, achieved.
- Here is the first of the 4 key factors, in which, surprinsinly, most of the Companies are failing. The excellence in Customer Service is the exception of the norm. And usually, the reason why they fail is right due to the 3rd point of these basic key points for success : Hiring the right people.
Being customer focuses is not just a statement you do onto your white board at the Sales meeting room. It is not a greatly sound sentence you put on your "home" website page. Each and every of your team members MUST be completely enganged to fullfil each and every of your customers expectations. Now, let's go to the 3rd KEY POINT
- Hiring the right members of your TEAM.Yes, a TEAM. None of us is perfect. And forget about finding a Dream Team.It will be a perfect team if you shape it from the ground. Find the better match , one to the other members. Take into consideration your goals and what are the profiles you need to achieve them. And pay very carfeful attention to this first stage, because it will determine whether your failure or youe success.
Then, if you have found the right people, you won't need to be constantly firing them up. You just will need to ,listen to them.To talk and discuss hoe to be dealig with the day by day work.
We constantly are asked by our clients , in our Consulting Service, how can I incentive my people?, How can I get them be more motivated to go out and get the deals?.
First : if your employees are not performing an excellent job, most of the time, is due to a bad job design.Work has to be perfectly designed BEFORE hiring the perso to perform it. That is why, once again, is so important to, after the right job design and plannification, find the right employee profile for that particular task.
Now, a very important amount of emplyeers, incentive they people, just on money, thinking that it will work. Sadley enough, most of the times, it does not bring the results they were expecting.
30 % of employees are NOT solely money driven. They need other motivations appart of money.Which leads us to the last and not least key factor :
- After all the efforts, employee selection, training, motivation, it is EXTREMELY COSTLY to let our team disolve. You need to find out, what motivates your people, by talking CONSTANTLY to them. See what makes them happy at work and at home. Hefore they ask you OFFER them what they need. KEEP them happy so they will KEEP your Company at the position you need it to be.
It is not that simple as in this brief list. But, it is the BASIC for success.
